For National Women’s Month, we celebrate Waltye Rasulala, a remarkable woman whose life and career are nothing short of extraordinary. She began her journey majoring in Music and Choral Direction at Westminster College in Princeton and went on to perform on Broadway, touring nationwide as a featured vocalist.
Waltye’s talents extend beyond performance—she has been a TV host in Washington DC, Los Angeles, and Raleigh, a gifted music and voice teacher, and a skilled choral director. Her leadership shone as she became Head of Community and Public Affairs at WRAL-TV for nearly 20 years, where she hosted telethons, magazine shows, and countless community programs that made a real impact.
Beyond her professional achievements, Waltye has served on numerous boards and continues to give back to causes she holds dear. Her story is a testament to talent, dedication, and the power of using your gifts to inspire and uplift others.
