In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Danielle Melanson. I am Danielle Melanson. I am 44 years young and I mean that because two decades ago, I did not feel as good as I do today. I am from Cape Breton , Nova Scotia, but Live in the Halifax area with my Hubby or 14 years, and our 2 ( soon to be 3 dogs). I started my wellness journey 15 years ago, when as a 30 year old food addict, heavy smoker and drinker, I found myself with my first and very serious health scare. They were checking my hubby for Lung Cancer, and that scared me (well both of us) straight. I always pretended that my weight of 250 lbs (size 24) didn't bother me, but that was just a mask I wore to get through life without having to face the reality of what I was doing to my mental and physical health. I jumped into this business not knowing anything. I didn't even have a smart phone, but I learned and adapted and figured it out as I went. I always say... if there is a will there is a way, that motto has kept me going as I approach my 9th year in this business. In this episode we discuss health & wellness, mermaid melanson, coaching, the difference between motivation and determination and self-care.
